Make sure your nutrition meets your daily training goals. Keep it simple.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">2.) Occasionally log the food you eat to see patterns in diet if your training feels &#8220;off&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">3.) Know your strengths and work on your weaknesses. Solely running more won\u2019t fix what\u2019s broken.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">4.) Pay attention to how your foot strikes the ground. Loud? Soft? Midfoot, rearfoot or forefoot landings? Symmetrical or asymmetrical footstrike?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">5.) Footstrike has nothing to do with overstriding. You can still overreach even if you don\u2019t heel strike.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">7.) Land with a slightly bent knee on the ground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">8.) Focus more on the muscles from the backside rather than the frontside. It&#8217;s common for runners to overwork the quads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">9.) Running is a whole body experience. Everything works together in concert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">10.) Strides work well to address running form.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">12.) Power comes from the hip.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">13.)\u00a0Forget about hitting the \u201cmagical\u201d cadence of 180 steps per minute. Instead, focus on covering more ground efficiently.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">14.) Aerobic development doesn\u2019t necessarily mean running long all the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">15.) Keep a neutral spine. Breathe through\u00a0the diaphragm; not the chest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">17.) Pilates classes\u00a0benefit runners. Yoga, too. Cross training is useful.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">18.) Find hobbies to take your mind off training.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">19.) In each session, focus on one thing to improve.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">20.) Enjoy the process.
