Music Conference in Kenya

Posted on Posted in General Music, Running

In case you missed it, I’m traveling to a village in Kenya in December to train for two weeks. Out of this I’ve received a great opportunity to present a music conference during my stay in Africa. I’m grateful for this opportunity God sent my way. I’m also amazed by how running and music have crossed paths. New doors have been opened and I’m looking forward to seeing where this adventure takes me.

It’s my hope that I can apply the principles, techniques and life lessons I’ve learned in my two years of running and apply them to music. Like performing music, running takes a lot of sacrifice, consistency and a bit of time to do well. Can you simply enjoy running just like casually singing or playing an instrument? Of course! It all just depends on how far you want to take it. It’s amazing to think how much potential we have if we learn, practice and surround ourselves among supportive people.

I’m looking forward to preparing for the camp as well as the conference. I plan to document my journey on this blog and share helpful tips as I learn in December. Most of all, I’m excited to experience a different culture on the other side of the globe.
